UPCA College Freshie Welcome Assembly
The annual College Freshie Welcome Assembly, held on September 9, 2024, was organized and hosted by the Architecture Student Council (ASC). The event began with an introductory message from Asst. Prof. David Xander Lacson (Student Relations Officer), followed by a welcome message and faculty introduction by Asst. Prof. Jose Dan Villa Juan (Assistant Dean). Next came a series of office presentations: Asst. Prof. Marie Edraline Blega (College Secretary) outlined College policies, Asst. Prof. Jose Dan Villa Juan gave guidelines on the use and rental of College resources, Asst. Prof. Sarah Moussavi (Gender and Development Focal Person) introduced the College’s projects and services related to gender and development, and Assoc. Prof. Nicolo Del Castillo, PhD (BS Architecture Program Director) and Asst. Prof. Bianca Fernandez ( B Landscape Architecture Program Director) gave an overview of their respective programs. In between the presentations, Prof. Luis Maria Bo-ot (Dean) delivered a welcoming address to the students.
The event continued with the introduction of the UPD Architecture Student Council Officers and the Oath Taking of the ASC and CASTLE Officers, officiated by the Dean. Following a brief photo session, the program concluded with student festivities and the introduction of the College organizations.
