INTEGRATED GRADUATE PROGRAM

The Integrated Graduate Program (IGP) provides a collaborative and interdisciplinary learning environment through the offering of flexible curricula. These offer entry points for all fields of expertise and dynamic courses that tackle emergent issues to undertake cutting-edge research in the Designed and Built Environments. The IGP has five (5) component degree programs: Graduate Diploma in Landscape Studies (GDipLS), Master of Arts in Architecture Studies (MAAS), Master of Architecture (MArch), Master of Tropical Landscape Architecture (MTLA), and Doctor of Philosophy in the Designed and Built Environment (PhDDBE).

APPLICATION PROCESS

The IGP Applications for Academic Year 2025-2026 are now open!

The UPCA IGP executes a holistic examination of all applicants and conducts interviews to screen candidates. The application process will be selective. You will be rated against your applicant cohort in terms of grade requirements, achievements, work experiences, research interests, and other merits to your admission to the IGP.

With specialized areas of studies that are contextualized within a comprehensive range of place-based concerns, graduates can make meaningful contributions to both academe and industry.

RESEARCH THEMES

The Integrated Graduate Program is based on a menu of courses under various research themes. Research themes are general directions towards which specific thesis or dissertation topics may be aligned. These serve as guides for selecting from a variety of sources of architectural topics for research. The themes were identified to reflect the current disciplines, studies, and practices in the Designed and Built Environment spectrum as well as the emerging knowledge-finding needs in the field.
