New Dean of the UP College of Architecture

The UP College of Architecture is pleased to announce the appointment of its 11th Dean, Assoc. Prof. Carmen Bettina S. Bulaong, PhD.
Assoc. Prof. Bulaong is an architect with a distinguished academic background and extensive expertise in architecture and architectural heritage conservation. She earned her undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of the Philippines Diliman, followed by a Master of Architecture specializing in the Restoration of Monuments at the Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía in México. She later completed her PhD in Environmental Science at the University of Shiga Prefecture in Hikone, Japan.
She currently serves as President of the Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation, Inc., an institution established through the initiative of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo. The foundation is dedicated to training out-of-school youth in specialized skills essential for the conservation of Philippine tangible heritage.
