College Student Assembly AY 2022-2023

After a long period of virtual learning and remote meetings, students gathered together in person last Friday, March 31, 2023 for the first physical College Student Assembly for AY 2022-2023.

The assembly, organized by the new UP CA Administration and the ASC, was hosted by Asst. Prof. David Xander Lacson (Student Relations Officer). Prof. Luis Maria Bo-ot, the College’s newly appointed Dean introduced the new roster of officers and welcomed faculty and students alike to another semester in the College. This was followed by Asst. Prof. Franklin Fontanoza (Assistant Dean) who gave reminders on administrative protocols, procedures on the use of facilities and equipment, and security practices, and then by Asst. Prof. Marie Edraline Belga (College Secretary) who elaborated on guidelines for applications on the conduct of student events. Asst. Prof. Lacson and Asst. Prof. Sarah Moussavi (Gender and Development Officer) talked about scholarships and grants and GAD projects respectively inflatable cube air building. Before wrapping up, the ASC provided messages of support to the new CA administration, and throughout the event, Arkaira staged different performances; all these demonstrating the dedication and hard work of everyone in creating a vibrant and supportive learning community.

A total of 185 students aside from faculty and staff attended the College Student Assembly setting the tone for a year of dynamic collaboration.
