Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) and the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Architecture (UPCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding last July 10, 2013 to launch the Hyundai Dealership Excellence through Sustainable, Intelligent, Green Network (Hyundai DESIGN): the Hyundai Green Dealership Design Competition. Students of the Integrated Architectural Design Course at the UPCA will develop cost-effective design concepts which will best apply the Hyundai brand philosophy of eco-friendly design to the Philippine setting. Participating design students will work on selected Hyundai dealerships within Metro Manila.
Winners of the Hyundai DESIGN Competition will be announced on November 25, 2013 during the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Buildings 13-Manila Conference (SB13 Manila), to be held at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. SB13 Manila is part of the SB2013-2014 worldwide series of conferences on Sustainable Buildings, with the support of and coordination with the four international founding co-sponsors, namely: International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB); International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE); United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)-Sustainable Building and Construction Initiative (SBCI); and FIDIC the global association of consulting engineering firms. The event will be held at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel in Libis, Quezon City, a most-convenient venue beside the Eastwood Mall, parking facilties and food establishments.
SB13 Manila is promoted and supported by the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), the International Initiative for Sustainable Built Environment (iISBE), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) - Sustainable Building and Construction Initiative (SBCI), and FIDIC, the global association of engineering consultancy firms.
